2015 was a very important year for our organisation, we celebrated our 25 years anniversary reaffirming our position as a referent in the sector. The incorporation of 7 new members together with the rise in the number of ham pieces with Consorcio Serrano sealing, have confirmed the strength of our project.
654.845 sealed and exported pieces from the companies that are members of our entity, figure that we finish this year with, meaning a 19% increase in the seal of our pieces compared with the year 2014. This data confirms our high quality Consorcio Serrano ham as a brand of reference you can recognise in foreign markets. Besides the economic growth, the rise in the number of members also shows how the Spanish companies trust our entity for the opportunity to offer their meat products in other markets by a consolidated countermark. After the incorporation of Duriber, Torre de Núñez, Industrias Cárnicas Tello, Jamones Arroyo, Artysan, Boadas 1.880 and Embutidos Caseros Collell, there are already 29 companies from different Spanish provinces that constitute our organisation.
In order to continue with the line of work we have been developing and that made the base for this success, in the Extraordinary Meeting, that took place in Madrid, we renewed the members of our Government,…. Specifically, by unanimity of our 29 members, Anna Bosch, General Manager of Noel Alimentaria, was re-elected as the president. José María Orteu, General Adviser of Grupo Alimentario Argal, was reelected as vicepresident.
“ With the experienced successes during 2015, pointing out the growth of our seal, our entity has again the objective of promoting how the high quality Serrano ham is seen in external markets”, as Miguel Ángel García Bravo, our Marketing and Promoting Director said, adding that “We intend to keep the growth of our quality seal Consorcio Serrano in foreign markets”.
