From the 10th to the 14th of October, the German city of Cologne will become the centre of attention of the F&B sector, as it will be holding the most important biennial fair in the world, ANUGA. Our entity will be present at the event, in hall 05.2, at stand B-054, and will carry out a series of activities, all of which will revolve around celebrating our 25th anniversary as a referent in the sector.
On Sunday the 11th of October, at 12:00 noon, our stand will house an event which will commemorate the work that we have carried out for the last twenty-five years. Anna Bosch, our president, and Pilar Muñoz, the economic and commercial advisor at the Spanish Embassy in Germany will be present. Two personalities that will highlight the sectoral project that we carry out and our position as an example of quality.
As well as this activity, during the convention, our entity will organize the “ConsorcioSerrano Ham Route” and the “ConsorcioSerrano Ham Hour”, which will bring the product closer to visitors and reinforce our entity’s position as export leader.
The “ConsorcioSerrano Ham Route” is comprised of a display, that will communicate the value of the product using a flyer, at out associates’ stands. In this way, visitors will relate each company to our entity. On the other hand, the “ConsorcioSerrano Ham Hour” will offer 25 minute ham-cutting classes, both in English and in German, hosted by a professional cortador (ham cutter), who will also teach everyone present a simple recipe.
Thanks to this project that is within our international promotion campaign, we seek to reinforce the image of our seal of quality in Germany. Germany imported 9,015.84 tonnes of Serrano ham from Spain in 2014, according to the Spanish tax service. Moreover, Germany’s imports have increased by 25%, since, from January to June 2014, the accumulated total import figure was 3,797 tonnes, a figure that has risen to 4,753 in the same period in 2015.
